About the project

Classrooms Around the World collects art and stories from kids in classrooms across the globe, along with photos of the rooms and schools where they learn. Every classroom that takes part gets a pin on this map, so anyone can click their way from a kindergarten in Kenya to a fifth-grade class in Canada.

When the collection is complete, the art and stories will be printed in a book, and this map will stay online as the interactive edition everyone can explore.

— Lisa Stewart, project organizer

Step 1

A teacher shares the class’s work

Upload student art, a photo of your classroom or school, and a short story or message from your students.

Step 2

We review every submission

Our team checks each one so the map stays kind and safe for kids. Only first names are ever shown.

Step 3

Your pin drops on the map

Once approved, your class appears on the board for the whole world to visit, and may be chosen for the printed book.

Share your classroom

Tell us about your class and add your students’ art. A real person reviews every submission before it appears on the map, usually within a few days.
